We’re at our best for our residents when everyone feels welcome and empowered to grow. That’s why we work with care to achieve and maintain a culture of compassion and belonging, environmentally friendly communities, socially conscious decision-making, and transparent business practices. Going forward, we have big plans for how we will continue to promote, reflect, and be a part of the communities around us.
Trilogy’s Data-Driven Focus On Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion
To continue our momentum, we’ve collaborated with researchers from the University of Louisville’s College of Education and Human Development, as well as Closing the Gap Consulting. With these partnerships, we’ve developed a sustainable DEI strategy. Together, we’ve identified key focus areas and implemented strategic programs.
Key DEI Focus Areas
We’ve created measurable diversity goals so that leaders, employees, and our community can monitor progress.
So that all applicants feel welcome, job posting language is inclusive and diversity is showcased. We intentionally recruit diverse candidates into leadership positions in an effort to represent the demographic composition of the communities we serve.
RETENTION AND DEVELOPMENT
To meet our goal of increasing career progression opportunities to employees from diverse backgrounds, we create individualized growth plans to provide all team members with actionable steps they can take to earn more money and advance their careers.
CULTURE Trilogy promotes interaction among employees with like interests through Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). ERGs connect our team members and create a stronger sense of belonging within our company.
DIVERSITY INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Twenty interns from underrepresented populations are selected each year to work in a variety of fields at our home office, where they gain valuable experience and expertise in areas of specific interest.
Because consistency and accountability are essential to DEI success, we’ve created a dashboard to track employee metrics and measure progress towards inclusion and equity goals. We also track diversity in compensation reviews and vendor-supplier relationships.
We’ve developed internal cultural sensitivity and biases training to ensure inclusive practices are embraced by all employees, including our leadership teams.
Trilogy’s CEO is a member of the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion community, an organization collaborating to drive D&I change and scale.
We provide resources, job opportunities, and support to partners including Black Nurses Rock, the Army Career Skills Program, the Kentuckiana Pride Parade and Festival, and the Toledo Alpha Phi Alpha MLK brunch.
